JOHN STREET HOMICIDE UNDER POLICE INVESTIGATION
The Police are investigating a shooting homicide that occurred on April 17th, 2024, between 8:30PM and 9PM at John Street, Newtown, St. Kitts.
Having received reports of the shooting, Police and other law enforcement officers
responded to the scene and observed eighteen (18)-year-old Crisbel Rivera, a male
national of the Dominican Republic who resided at Carty Alley, Newtown, laying
motionless on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds about the body. Initial
inquiries indicate that Mr Rivera was approached by an armed assailant who fired
several shots in his direction. Mr Rivera was subsequently pronounced deceased at the
scene.
The Crime Scene Unit of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF)
processed the scene and collected some items of evidential value. An investigation into
the incident is under way and the general public will be kept appropriately informed of
