POLICE APPREHEND SUSPECT IN SHADWELL ROBBERY

The Police are investigating a robbery that was committed at a grocery store in the Shadwell area on St. Kitts. The criminal act was committed on June 3rd, 2024, between 1PM and 2PM. Initial inquiries indicate that a male assailant armed with a machete entered the establishment and stole an undisclosed sum of money from the cash register. Shortly after exiting the store, the assailant was intercepted and apprehended by patrolling officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) and subsequently taken into custody.

The Crime Scene Unit processed the scene and collected some items of evidential value. An investigation into the incident is under way and the general public will be kept abreast of its developments.
