INON NIAS CHARGED WITH MURDER & AMMO POSSESSION
The Police have laid two (2) additional charges against thirty-three (33)-year-old Inon Nias of Greenlands, St. Kitts. He has been charged for the Murder of thirty-one (31)- year-old Shacquille Chumney of East Street, Newtown, St. Kitts. The criminal offence was committed on April 15th, 2024, at the Newtown Fisheries Complex. Mr. Nias also faces a charge for Possession of Ammunition, an offence that occurred on April 20th, 2024, in Greenlands.
Both charges were laid against Mr Nias on June 7th, 2024, at the Basseterre Police Station. These new charges supplement Nr Nias’ initial charge for the crime of Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply, which also transpired on April 20th, 2024. Notably, he is the second individual to be accused in connection with the aforementioned murder, following Alexander Samuel of Conaree, St. Kitts, who was charged on May 31st, 2024.
