On June 4th, 2024, the officers of the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) executed a search of an abandoned building in Dorset Village, St. Kitts. The search resulted in the recovery of a plastic bag containing what was suspected to be seven (7) grams of cocaine. The suspected narcotics were subsequently taken into police custody. In a separate incident on June 8th, 2024, between 9AM and 10AM, three (3) rounds of ammunition were recovered in the Conaree area by patrolling St. Kitts – Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF) soldiers. The ammunition was found inside a container that was observed in the brush near the basketball court. The scene was processed by the Crime Scene Unit and the contraband was taken into custody. Investigations into both matters are under way and the general public will be kept appropriately abreast of their developments.
