ST. KITTS SCHOOL MEALS PROGRAMME
HOSTS ANNUAL STAFF WORKSHOP
Basseterre, St. Kitts, Friday, July 12, 2024: The St. Kitts School Meals Programme successfully hosted its annual workshop on Monday and Tuesday, July 9 – 10. The two-day event was dedicated to enhancing the knowledge and skills of the team to ensure the highest standards in food safety and nutrition for the students they serve.
The School Meals Programme Coordinator, Mr. Leon Williams, explained the purpose of the workshop.
“The objective of the workshop is to ensure that we enhance our workers abilities and hoping that they gain knowledge in that regard so that they can put out the best at all times. Food safety is very important to us, so we must also ensure that our children’s safety is our number one priority.”
The St. Kitts School Meals Programme remains committed to providing healthy, nutritious, and safe meals to students across the island. The annual workshop is just one of the many initiatives the programme undertakes to ensure that staff arewell-equipped to meet the needs of the students they serve.
