SITTING OF PARLIAMENT IN ST. KITTS AND NEVIS ADJOURNED IN HONOUR OF THE PASSING OF GLEN ‘GHOST’ PHILLIP 

Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 01, 2024 (SKNIS): The sitting of Parliament scheduled for Thursday, August 01, 2024, in St. Kitts and Nevis was adjourned until Friday, August 02 out of respect of the passing of Glen ‘Ghost’ Phillip, who once served as a Member of Parliament and Member of Cabinet from 2010-2015.

When Parliament resumes on Friday, August 02, 2024, two Bills, namely the Judge Alone Trials Bill, 2024, and the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (Agreement) Bill, 2024,will receive their first reading. 

The Non-Government Organisations (Amendment) Bill, 2024, and the Companies (Amendment) Bill, 2024, which had their first readings on May 02, 2024, as well as the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (Agreement) Bill, 2024 are slated for second readings.

The National Assembly will be carried live on ZIZ Radio (96 FM) and participating radio stations. It can also be viewed live on TV Channel 5 in St. Kitts and Channel 98 in Nevis. It will also be streamed live at www.zizonline.com.
