CLARIFICATION REGARDING RECENT PRESS RELEASE AND SUBSEQUENT
COMMUNICATION
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, August 14, 2024. The Royal St. Christopher-Nevis Police Force wishes to address a recent incident involving the inadvertent circulation of internal correspondence.
On August 12, 2024, a press release was issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) to the media. This release was intended to formally introduce the newly appointed Acting Force Personnel Officer to the public.
Subsequently, an internal response from the Force Personnel Officer, which was not intended for public dissemination, was inadvertently sent to all media houses. We recognize that this error has created the perception of a rift between the DCP and the Personnel Officer.
We wish to clarify that there is no conflict between the DCP and the Personnel Officer. The miscommunication was purely administrative and does not reflect any discord within the leadership of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force. The Force remains committed to its professional standards and transparent communication with the media and the public.
We apologize for any confusion caused and appreciate your understanding as we continue to uphold the highest standards of integrity and clarity in our communications.
