Make Your Mark on Independence 42: Submit Your 6–8 Word Theme
Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis – The Saint Kitts and Nevis Independence 42 Organising Committee is thrilled to announce the launch of the Independence 42 Theme Competition. This exciting initiative invites citizens and residents to create a theme that captures the essence of the nation’s journey over the past 42 years of independence. The theme should reflect the country’s rich history, present realities, and future aspirations.
The competition is open to all citizens and residents of Saint Kitts and Nevis, who are encouraged to submit a concise, memorable phrase, clause, or short sentence no longer than six to eight words. The winning theme will serve as a unifying slogan for the nation’s 42nd Independence celebrations, inspiring all citizens to reflect on their shared heritage and look forward to a bright future.
“As we celebrate 42 years of independence, it is crucial to reflect on our journey and envision the future we want to build together,” said Dr Marcus L Natta and Viera K Galloway, Co-Chairs of the Organising Committee. “We look forward to receiving inspiring and thought-provoking entries that will set the tone for our 42nd Independence celebrations.”
Competition Guidelines:
- Entries must be concise, memorable, and reflective of the nation’s journey.
- Submissions should be no longer than six to eight words.
- Participants must provide their names, addresses, and contact numbers with each entry.
- The deadline for submissions is midnight on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
The winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of EC$1000 and will be expected to participate in specific Independence 42 activities. This is a unique opportunity to leave a lasting mark on the nation’s history.
