TEAM ST. KITTS FACES OFF AGAINST TEAM ST. MAARTEN IN TONIGHT’S LIDC DEBATE

Basseterre, St. Kitts, 7th March 2025 (CFBC): Team St. Kitts is set to compete against the host, Team St. Maarten, in the second debate of the Leeward Islands Debating Competition (LIDC) tonight, 7th March at 7:00 p.m.  The LIDC is being held from 6th to 8th March at the Belair Community Centre in Dutch St. Maarten.  

Toni Allen will lead Team St. Kitts along with Kaylah Penny, the seconder, who will propose the moot “Artificial intelligence does more harm than good.”

The competition promises to be a thrilling showcase of debating skills. Team St. Maarten will have the home advantage, but Team St. Kitts is prepared and eager to make their mark in tonight’s debate.

Additionally, tonight at 8:15 p.m., reigning champions Team Nevis will confront Team Antigua, the winner of the first debate on 6th March, with the moot “Parental leave should be equal for both mothers and fathers.”
