EXPERT PANEL SET TO DEBUT IN FIRST-EVER CFBC PANEL DISCUSSION ON INTERNATIONAL DAY OF MATHEMATICS, FRIDAY 14th MARCH 2025
Basseterre, St. Kitts, 12th March 2025 (CFBC): An expert panel is set to debut in the first-ever Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) International Day of Mathematics (IDM) panel discussion on the global observance day, 14th March 2025.
The event will be held at the CFBC Main Campus, Burdon Street, Basseterre, in the Poinciana Conference Room at 5:30 pm. Students of Mathematics and the Arts are encouraged to join the discussion.

The IDM aims to highlight the importance of mathematics and its applications in various fields, including science, technology, and society.
The creators of the 2025 theme “Mathematics, Art, and Creativity”, encourage participants to explore the creative aspects of mathematics by showcasing the harmony of logic and imagination, where numbers dance with colours, equations sculpt beauty, and ideas transcend boundaries to inspire and innovate. Creativity unites mathematics and art, fields that may seem separate, but were originally intertwined, both seeking to reveal the beauty of the universe.
The five-member panel brings a wealth of experience and expertise in mathematics from various fields, including education, architecture, computer science, art, and technology.
Mr. Wycliffe Morton, Architect and Lecturer of Architectural Design Technology, will present on the topic “Relationship between Mathematics and the Built and Natural Environment.” His Excellency Dr. Ricardo Neil, Senior Lecturer in Information Technology, will deliver a presentation on “Mathematics in Action: Fostering Creative, Sustainable Futures for St. Kitts and Nevis.” Additionally, Mr. C. Ellsworth Diamond, Senior Lecturer in Pure and Applied Mathematics et al, will discuss “Teaching Mathematics for Creativity.”
Ms. Lizca Bass, Art Teacher at Verchilds High School and Artist, will explore “Mathematics in Visual Arts and Music,” while Mr. Enoete Inanga, Lecturer in Pure and Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, will present on “The Mathematics of Play: Game Design, Visual Art, and Physics in Virtual Worlds.”
