The UWI Global Campus St. Kitts and Nevis Guild Executive Hosts Honour
Roll and Handing-Over Ceremony
The UWI Global Campus St Kitts and Nevis. Friday, May 30, 2025 — On Saturday, May 23, 2025, The University of the West Indies (The UWI) Global Campus Guild Executive, St. Kitts and Nevis Chapter, hosted a ceremony to honour sixty-four (64) students who made the Honour Roll for Semester 1, 2024-2025. Thirty-four (34) students were from St Kitts and thirty (30) students from Nevis. These students achieved a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.6 or higher in Semester 1 of academic year 2024-2025.
The ceremony included a symbolic passing of the baton as the outgoing Guild Executive officially handed over responsibilities to the incoming 2025/2026 team, marking the beginning of a new chapter in student leadership and service.
The proceedings were chaired by Mrs. Kayla Farrell Mills, UWI Alumna. The Honourable Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education et al., delivered congratulatory remarks and assisted in presenting certificates to the awardees.
A particularly emotional and heartfelt moment was the posthumous recognition of Ms. Chiclanker Ramsey, an Honour Roll awardee who recently passed away. Her two daughters, mother, and fiancé were present to receive her certificate and token on her behalf, a moving tribute that touched everyone in attendance.
The staff and Guild Executive of The UWI Global Campus St Kitts and Nevis congratulate the students on their achievement and express gratitude to the sponsors who made this event possible.
