MINISTRY OF EDUCATION CONCLUDES

 IN-SERVICE TRAINING 2024 -2025

Basseterre, St. Kitts, Wednesday, June 11, 2025: The Ministry of Education concluded its 2024 – 2025 In-service Training Programme with a ceremony held under the theme “Transforming Education Through Self-Renewal, Holistic Partnerships, and Digital Solutions” on Tuesday, June 10.

Chief Education Officer, Francil Morris, commended teachers for their commitment and growth.

“This In-Service Programme was far more than just a requirement. It’s a powerful testament to your unwavering dedication to personal and professional growth. It is my hope that over the last year, you have been equipped with not only the essential strategies and knowledge but also the critical confidence to truly make an impact in your classrooms. I wholeheartedly believe that you are the champions that our children deserve.”  

Dr. Joycelyn Archibald – Pennyfeather, Educator Extraordinaire, encouraged teachers to become transformative forces in education.

“Today marks the beginning of a new chapter in your journey. As you step into your classrooms, remember that you are not merely imparting knowledge. You are igniting dreams and shaping destinies. Let self-renewal keep you grounded. Let holistic partnerships guide you, and let digital solutions drive your innovation and your motivation. Together, these pillars will enable you to transform education in ways that will echo for generations to come.”

Mr. Jason Daisy, Teacher at Charles E. Mills Secondary School, shared his experiences.

“…we were reminded that this is more than just a profession; it is a calling. Each facilitator brought their expertise with clarity, purpose, and a deep sense of passion. We delved into a variety of critical areas, from effective student communication and appropriate interactions to mastering lesson planning, record keeping, and understanding how to use behavioural management strategies that foster respect and cooperation.”

The closing ceremony celebrated a key achievement in the Ministry of Education’s drive to revolutionize education with cutting-edge practices and strategies.
