AMMUNITION & CANNABIS SEIZED IN JOINT OPERATION IN NEWTON GROUND
A successful joint operation in Newton Ground, St. Kitts, has led to the discovery of ammunition and a substantial quantity of suspected cannabis.
On October 12th, 2025, officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force’s(RSCNPF) Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) and Special Services Unit (SSU), and the Joint Security Operations Tactical Team (JSOTT), executed a search warrant on the premises of Alex Jules of Newton Ground. During the search, officers found ten (10) rounds of 5.56mm ammunition and a large quantity of vegetable material suspected tobecannabis. The items were seized, and Mr. Jules was taken into custody for possession Ammunition, Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply, and Cultivation of Cannabis. The scene was processed by the Crime Scene Unit, which collected other items of evidential value.
On October 14th, 2025, Mr. Jules was formally charged at the Basseterre Police Station with three (3) warrants for the afore mentioned offences. The RSCNPF continues its active efforts to disrupt illegal drug cultivation and the possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition, ensuring the safety and security of all communities across the Federation.
