MAJOR FIRE AT FRIGATE BAY STRIP UNDER INVESTIGATION
The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) and the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services (SKNFRS) responded to a major fire that occurred at the Frigate Bay Strip in the early morning hours of October 21st, 2025.
Between 12:30 AM and 1 AM, officers responded to the scene at the Frigate Bay Strip after receiving a report of a fire. Upon arrival, they observed the Zanzi Bar building engulfed in flames. The blaze subsequently spread to a neighbouring establishment, Cathy’s Bar. Both structures were unoccupied at the time of the fire. The blaze was fully extingushed around 5 AM, but regrettably, both structures were completely destroyed.
Crime Scene Unit of the RSCNPF processed the scene and collected some items of evidential value. The cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time, and investigations are ongoing.
