POLICE INVESTIGATING SHOOTING IN NEVIS

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) is investigating a shooting incident that occurred in Nevis on October 24th , 2025, between 4:30 AM and 5 AM.

Preliminary investigations indicate that Derrick Liburd of Malcolm Hill, was leaving his residence to go to work when a lone masked individual opened fire on him. Mr. Liburd

sustained a graze wound to his right shoulder and was transported to the Alexandra Hospital by ambulance where he was treated and later discharged.

The Crime Scene Unit of the RSCNPF processed the scene and collected some items of evidential value. Investigations into the matter remain ongoing, and the general public will be appropriately updated as developments occur.
