CANNABIS-RELATED CHARGES LAID AGAINST AKEEM HEADLEY & RANDOLPH LIBURD
On February 25th, 2026, during a search operation at the Vance W. Amory International
Airport, Akeem Headley, an American national residing at Happy Hill Alley, Nevis, was
found in possession of two air-sealed packages containing vegetable material suspected
to be cannabis. The combined weight of the two packages was eighty-three (83) grams. Mr Headley was arrested for Importation of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with
Intent to Supply.
Subsequently, during the execution of a search warrant at his residence, officers
discovered one block of compressed vegetable material suspected to be cannabis in a
kitchen cabinet. The substance was weighed at five hundred and fifty-six (556) grams. Mr Headley and Randolph Liburd, who also resided at the premises, were arrested and
charged.
Charges laid are as follows:
Akeem Headley:
Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply (2 counts)
Importation of Restricted Goods
Importation of Goods Packed to Deceive Customs
Importation of Goods in a Package Holding a Different Description
Submission of False Declaration to Customs
Randolph Liburd:
Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply
Charges were laid on February 26th, 2026, at the Cotton Ground and Charlestown Police Stations.
