Basseterre: St. Kitts, Tuesday, June 02, 2026: A series of church services in the Child Month celebratory framework, started on Tuesday June 02, at the People’s Evangelistic Center.Services which will continue throughout the week will feature preschoolers who will familiarize attendees with the theme “Fueling our Bodies with the Best: Good Nutrition, Movement and Rest.”
The East Zone church service led by the KeBabies Child Development Center preschoolers had the congregation raising their voices in unison and moving with songs such as If You Are Happy and You Know it; You Got to Move; and I Command My Hands to Praise the Lord. The praise and worship team effectively transformed the congregation’s potential energy to kinetic energy.
A combined message, delivered by the early learners from Love Centre, the Tabernacle and Cayon Day Care Centers was spot on. The message entitled ‘God is happy when we take care of our bodies’ drew inspiration from 1st Corinthians 6 vs 19 – 20 and reminded participants of how sacred their body is and reinforced the impetus of good nutrition and health.
The teamwork, innovation and creativity demonstrated by the early learners whether through prayer, dance, poetry, and participation highlighted the importance of placing our children at the forefront.
Upcoming church services include the Basseterre Zone on Wednesday, June 03 at the Basseterre Pentecostal Church of God and the West Zone on Thursday, June 04 at the Light House Baptist Church, Sandy Point. The Early Childhood Development Unit extends an invitation to all and encourages support for Child Month 2026.
