ANNUAL FINANCIAL STATEMENT AND BUDGETARY PROPOSALS FOR 2025 TO BE PRESENTED IN THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 16

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, December 13, 2024 (SKNIS) – The Order Paper has been issued for a sitting of the National Assembly to be held at the National Assembly Chambers, Government Headquarters, Basseterre, on Monday, December 16, 2024, where the Annual Financial Statement and Budgetary Proposals for 2025 will be presented.  

The Honourable Prime Minister and Minister responsible for Finance, Dr. Terrance Drew will seek leave to introduce and have read a first time The Appropriation (2025) Bill, 2024. The Honourable Prime Minister will then move the second reading of The Appropriation (2025) Bill, 2024, commonly referred to as the Budget Address.


The Appropriation (2025) Bill, 2024, is a Bill to provide for the services of Saint Christopher and Nevis for the financial year commencing January 01, 2025 and ending on December 31, 2025.

Following the prime minister’s presentation on Monday, the Budget session will continue from Tuesday, December 17 with Members of Parliament (MPs) debating and making their contributions on the 2025 Budget.

The 2025 Budget Address and subsequent debate in the National Assembly will be carried live on ZIZ Radio (96 FM) and participating radio stations. It can also be viewed live on TV Channel 5 in St. Kitts and Channel 98 in Nevis. It will also be streamed live at www.zizonline.com and on the Facebook and YouTube pages of the St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service.
