CFBC COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY TO BE PRECEDED BY TRADITIONAL ACADEMIC PROCESSION ON FEBRUARY 25
Basseterre, St. Kitts, 11th February 2025 (CFBC): The Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) Board of Governors, along with faculty, staff, students, government officials, dignitaries, and parents and guardians, are expected to gather to celebrate the Class of 2024 at the 36th CFBC Commencement Ceremony. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, 25th February 2025, at 4:30 p.m. at the Pro Cathedral of St. George with St. Barnabas (formerly St. George’s Anglican Church). The ceremony will be held under the patronage of Her Excellency Dame Marcella Liburd GCMG, JP, Governor-General of St. Kitts and Nevis. This year’s theme is “The CFBC: Cultivating Excellence for a Sustainable Future.” Attendees are requested to be seated by 4:00 p.m.

The highlight of the ceremony will be the presentation of certificates in various academic disciplines to the graduates of the Federation’s only indigenous tertiary institution. These students have eagerly anticipated this moment after dedicating themselves diligently to their studies.

The traditional Academic Procession with the President, Vice President, Faculty and Graduands, is planned to depart from Independence Square at 4:00 p.m. The procession will follow along Central Street, then turn onto Church Street and proceed north to the commencement venue.

The 2024 Class Representative is the TVET scholar from the Division of Technical and Vocational Education and Management Studies (TVEMS), which will be announced shortly. The keynote address will be delivered by Architect Ms. Kerissa Roberts, an Alumna of the CFBC (TVEMS).

The Class of 2024 comprises 281 graduates from the College’s five Divisions—134 from Technical and Vocational Education and Management Studies, 34 from Teacher Education, 14 from Health Sciences, five (5) from Adult and Continuing Education and 94 from Arts, Sciences and General Studies.
