ASSOCIATION OF ST. KITTS & NEVIS DESCENDANTS DONATES NETBALLS TO CFBC
Basseterre, St. Kitts, 13th February 2025 (CFBC): In an effort to encourage netball participation, particularly among young girls and women, the Association of St. Kitts & Nevis Descendants (ASKaND) generously donated two netballs to the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) Bulls Netball Team.
At Government House on Monday, 10th February 2025, Charisse Gumbs, Director of Government House, presented the donation to Shenel Crooke, Sports Officer at CFBC. Ms. Crooke, on behalf of CFBC, expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the generous donation.

The initiative to donate netballs to schools and sporting institutions continues the celebrations held from 13th to 19th August 2023, which marked the 50th and 45th anniversaries of the St. Kitts National Team’s victories in the 1973 and 1978 Caribbean Netball Championships in Grenada and St. Vincent, respectively. One key objective is to spark a resurgence of netball in schools, highlighted by the Powerade and Dasani Interschool Netball Championship in 2024.
The donated netballs will be put to immediate use as the CFBC Bulls Netball Club prepares to host the Ultimate Netball Tournament at Netball City on Saturday, 15th February 2025. The event will feature two games: CFBC Boys vs. CFBC Girls and an All-Girls match.
