Honoring the women at Cardin Infirmary
In honor of International Women’s Day 2025, Zakers Affinity Causes reinforced its commitment to service, dignity, and community with a Day of Service at the Cardin Infirmary. Volunteers came together to provide care and comfort to the residents through making beds and changing linens, nail grooming, feeding, serving of meals, distribution of care packages to the female residents, washing and grooming of the hair and facial grooming for the male residents.
As we embrace this year’s IWD theme, “Accelerate Action,” we recognize the power of service in creating meaningful change. It is essential for young women to take an active role in community-based initiatives, especially those that uplift the elderly. Their contributions go beyond acts of kindness—they help preserve dignity, bridge generational gaps, and cultivate a deeper sense of compassion and responsibility. When we care for our elders, we honor their legacy and ensure that the values of empathy and service continue to thrive.
ZAC extends a heartfelt thank you to the students of the CFBC Health Division and RUSVM – SNABV (Student National Association of Black Vets) for their dedication and generosity as their presence made a difference, bringing warmth, comfort, and joy to the residents.
