CFBC GRATEFUL TO RUSVM FOR ITS PARTNERSHIP IN PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS

Basseterre, St. Kitts, 17th March 2025 (CFBC): Fourteen students from Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) have been awarded scholarships through the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) Scholarship Programme, in recognition of their outstanding achievements and contributions.

The CFBC is grateful to the RUSVM for its partnership. According to the RUSVM, “it endeavours to provide opportunities for young people to grow and develop into the very best version of themselves, through achieving post-secondary academic success and meaningful life experiences.”

The scholarship awards were presented to the students at a ceremony held at the RUSVM Auditorium on 12th March 2025. The event was attended by Interim President of CFBC, Dr. Moyia Rowtham, Executive Officer in the President’s Office, Ms. Brenda Caesar, Student Services Manager, Ms. Clytie Gilbert, representatives of the CFBC Student Government Association, government officials including Governor General H.E. Dame Marcella Liburd, GCMG JP, and Minister of Education, Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, as well as officials from RUSVM including Dean Dr. Robert Gilbert.

Endira Reeknauth and Leevan French were honored with the Leadership Award, while Nailah Greenaway, Makieda Veira, Colene Caines, Doniesha Eddy, Rhoyana Warner, and Zahra Browne received the Excellence Award. Tyra Henry was awarded the EDGE Award, and Dillon Franks received the Glenville Henry Memorial Award. Destinee Davis was presented with the Denise Fyfield Award, and Destiny Harvey received the Ermine Cotton Award.

Additionally, Shanteh Mintos was honoured with the Yvonne Cotton Award, Divonique Liburd received the Mova Simmonds Award, and Mikkall Walters was awarded the Walter James Award.

Along with the scholarship award, all recipients will also be offered a paid summer internship at RUSVM.
