POND HILL SUDDEN DEATH UNDER INVESTIGATION
The Police are investigating the sudden death of Chavilal Basdeo, age thirty-six (36), of Clay Ghaut, Nevis. The incident occurred on March 26th, 2025, between the hours of 12PM and 1PM.
Responding to reports, Police officers observed Mr Basdeo laying motionless at the side of the island main road at Pond Hill. Attempts to resuscitate him by the Emergency Services (EMS) were unsuccessful and he was pronounced deceased on the scene. Mr Basdeo bore no signs of visible injury or trauma. Consequently, an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of his untimely demise.
