KRISTON LIBURD CHARGED FOR CANNABIS IMPORTATION
Four (4) charges have been laid against Kriston Liburd of Stoney Grove, Nevis, in
relation to contraband found at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport on St. Kitts.
On April 8th, 2025, officers from the Anti-Narcotics Unit of the Royal St. Christopher and
Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) responded to a report received from the St. Kitts-Nevis
Customs and Excise Department. At the airport, the officers were directed to a luggage
bag belonging to Mr Liburd that, upon examination by Customs, had been found to
contain one (1) package of vegetable material, later confirmed to be cannabis.
Mr Liburd was subsequently arrested and on April 10th, 2025, he was charged at the Basseterre Police Station for the offences of (i) Importation of Cannabis; (ii) Submitting a False Declaration (iii) Importation of restricted good to wit Cannabis; and (iv) Importing Goods Packed in a manner appearing to be Intended to Deceive a Customs officer.
