VINCEROY CHUMNEY SENTENCED FOR HOUSE BREAKING & LARCENY


Vinceroy Chumney of Keys Village, St. Kitts, has been sentenced to His Majesty’s Prison
for the three (3) counts of House Breaking and Larceny, and one (1) count of Larceny
from a Dwelling House. The three instances of House Breaking and Larceny were
committed on November 29th, and December 19th and 20th, 2023; and the offence of Larceny from a Dwelling House was committed on December 21st, 2023.

Mr Chumney pleaded guilty to his charges on March 3rd, 2025, and he was later sentenced on April 15th, 2025. For each charge of the House Breaking and Larceny, Mr Chumney was sentenced to serve three (3) years imprisonment; for the remaining charge of Larceny from a Dwelling House, he received a sentence of (4) years. All sentences are set to run concurrently and time spent on remand will be counted as time
served.

The sentences were handed down at the High Court in Basseterre by His Lordship
Justice Iain Morley, KC.
