POLICE INVESTIGATING ARMED ROBBERY AT SUPERMARKET IN NEWTOWN

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) is investigating a report of armed robbery that occurred at a supermarket in Newtown, St. Kitts, on August 31st , 2025.

Preliminary investigations revealed that between 12PM and 12:30PM, an armed, masked male entered the Hong Yun Supermarket located on Newtown Bay Road and demanded money from the proprietor. A sum of cash was taken before the individual fled the scene. No injuries were sustained during the incident.

The Crime Scene Unit of the RSCNPF processed the location and collected some items of evidential value. The public will be appropriately updated on the matter as the investigation develops. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the nearest Police station, or call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 707, where information can be given anonymously.
