32-YEAR-OLD INVOLVED IN FATAL SHOOTING INCIDENT
Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 28, 2018 (RSCNPF): Police are investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred at Pine Gardens Monday night.
At about 10:15 p.m. on August 27, 32-year-old Mickail Liburd was visiting someone at Pine Gardens. Preliminary investigations have revealed that on arrival, as he was getting out of the vehicle, three armed men came out of the nearby bushes and opened fire on him. He was shot multiple times about the body. Enquiries have also revealed that he ran a short distance then fell. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Technicians from the Crime Scene Unit visited and processed the scene and took items of evidential value into Police Custody. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
