Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 09, 2018 (RSCNPF): Twenty-four-year-old Shakeem Cranston of College Street Ghaut received two sentences of eight (8) years, five (5) months and ten (10) days in prison.

On October 16, 2018 Cranston was convicted for the offences of Unlawful Possession of Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. The sentences will run concurrently. Cranston was indicted on November 21, 2013. He recently returned to court for his sentencing.

His appropriate sentences would have been for ten (10) years, however, the Judge took the time he spent on remand into consideration and his sentence was reduced.
