L-R: JOHN ZULIANI; PRIME MINISTER HARRIS
That commendation came Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris during the ground breaking ceremony for the Royal St. Kitts Hotel’s “The Cove” project at the hotel’s property in Frigate Bay, Basseterre.
“I want to thank John for the confidence he and his team have shown in the economic future in St. Kitts and Nevis. He sees a bright future and that is why he’s undertaking to continue to invest in St. Kitts and Nevis, and I want to wish from the outset this project all the very best,” said Prime Minister Harris.
Dr. Harris went on to address the statements made by Mr. Zuliani in July of 2017 when he started the Royal Plaza. He said during the ground breaking ceremony that Mr. Zuliani “committed that he would deliver a nice addition to the edifices and to the business and commercial life in Frigate Bay with the Royal Plaza, that has now opened, and all of us can attest to the fact that it has improved the commercial offering and tourism offerings in St. Kitts and Nevis, from supermarkets to gaming to food.”
The Royal Plaza had an estimated cost of 18.9 million XCD with an estimated 100 construction employees who benefited for at least twelve months of regular work.
The second project, which is The Cove development comprises some 12 luxury suites with the prime minister saying that “the investment, is over 10 million dollars and it is expected that some 60 to 75 persons will find direct employment at this site.”
