Constituency #7 Domino League to hold Pairs Challenge on Independence Day
BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, September 9, 2019 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — A domino Pairs Challenge organised by the Executive Committee of Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League, which is open to all domino players in the country, will be held on this year’s Independence Day.
According to the Executive Committee’s Public Relations Officer Mr Delroy ‘Beard Man’ Liburd, the competition will be held at two venues in Lodge Project, the Lodge Community Centre and Cuban Bar, on Independence Day Thursday September 19 starting from 1:00 pm.
“Competition is open to all interested domino players in the country and registration deadline is on Tuesday September 17,” said Mr Liburd. “Entrance will be $20 per pair and there will be prizes to be won. Happy hour will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Action kicks off at 1:00 pm.”
Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League, which is in its 24th year and is sponsored by Prime Minister and Area Parliamentary Representative for Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, is the longest running domino league in the country.
Eleven teams are taking part in the 2019 edition of the competition, and the first round of home and away competition came to an end last week. The second round is due to start and teams will be informed of the schedule. At the end of the first round defending champions Parsons Domino Club, the first club from outside Constituency Number Seven to win the championship, were leading on points.
