The occasion was a widely popular one-on-one consultation with citizens and residents at the Central Basseterre Constituency Office, located at the corner of Cayon Street and Thibou Avenue.

The large turnout of persons came principally from Central Basseterre, however, persons from every constituency across St. Kitts turned up to meet with Prime Minister Harris and Ambassador Powell.

Commenting on the success of the event, Prime Minister Harris stated that “the day was long but extremely productive.”

“I was encouraged to pursue the progressive socioeconomic agenda of my government with a focus on opportunities for our young people, increasing support for persons wishing to try their hand in business and in service industry,” the honourable prime minister said.

Dr. Harris continued, “At the same time, we will be there for those who need a helping hand. Some persons came particularly to say thank you to the Government for the $500 they are now receiving monthly, others for the housing repair programme and for others, it was the opportunity to have received a job.”

Prime Minister Harris thanked Ambassador Powell for devoting the time to help Central Basseterre residents improve their lives.

“All in all, I was happy to have coordinated this hugely successful event with our Team Unity candidate, Ambassador Jonel Powell. The people of Central Basseterre deserves better representation and that is why we are pleased to represent them that alternative in Ambassador Jonel Powell,” said Prime Minister Harris.
