Donated goods valued at US$66,000 from SimplyHelp Foundation was handed over by Ambassador Lin to Hon. Jonel Powell, Minister of Education, Youth, Sports & Culture on Aug. 19.
The items include stationery, toys, gift sets, clothing, sports equipment, electrical devices, household items and an electrical generator, as well as 10 brand new computers that will be installed in the new computer lab at St. Paul’s Primary School. Also among the beneficiaries are the Explorers Youth Club, Ade’s Place, Early Childhood Education Unit St Kitts/Nevis, St. kitts Nevis Association of Persons with Disabilities and other charity and faith-based institutions, which will all receive distributed items from the Government.
This kind donation comes from an NGO founded by a Taiwanese American, and was facilitated by 外交部 Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ROC(Taiwan). The initiative is going into its seventh consecutive year in St. Kitts and Nevis, benefiting a large number of children and people in need. It also exemplifies the close and enduring friendship between #Taiwan🇹🇼 & #StKittsAndNevis🇰🇳, which started 38 years ago and is continuing to grow deeper every day.
