Rihanna might be having ‘Wild Thoughts’ in her big summer release, but the 2017 Harvard Humanitarian of the Year and Global Partnership for Education Global Ambassador is also thinking about education for the most vulnerable communities around the world.
Following a January 2017 trip t Malawi, Rihanna urged her 74.5 million Twitter followers to demand that G20 leaders increase support for the Global Partnership for Education.
The Global Partnership supports developing countries to ensure every child receives a quality, basic education – something that Rihanna herself focuses on through her Clara Lionel Foundation.
In a series of tweets this week, Rihanna called on the political leaders of Argentina (Mauricio Macri), Canada (Justin Trudeau) and France (Emmanuel Macron), as well as the head of Germany’s government information service (Steffen Seibert) to declare their support for Global Partnership’s Fund Education campaign.
