Welcome to the RSCNPF team Sherwin Flemming and Patrick Bradshaw who were sworn-in today (April 01, 2022) as a Constable and Special Constable respectively. They were welcomed into the organisation by Commissioner of Police Hilroy Brandy and Force Personnel Officer, Clifford Govia.

Commissioner Brandy told the new recruits that they have to be honest, punctual and disciplined in order to become good Police Officers. “You can’t get carried away because you wear a badge. The badge is not for you to ill treat people. The badge is for you to serve, to protect and to help others and to uphold the laws of St. Kitts and Nevis and if you do all these things, honestly and with integrity, you will become a good Police Officer,” Commissioner Brandy explained to the young men. Mr. Govia concurred with the Commissioner adding that those qualities were the centerpieces of who they should be as a person and as an Officer. Mr. Govia said, “If you have these things, things will work out well.

The expectation is that if you are going to come into the organisation you are going to work hard and you are going to be dedicated to your task, because at the end of the day our most important responsibility is national security – to secure the people – or else everything else crumbles, and you have decided you want to play a part in that so we are asking you to be hard workers and, in addition, always be flexible enough and willing to learn.”
