POLICE INVESTIGATE BURDON STREET SHOOTING INCIDENT
The Police are investigating a shooting incident on Burdon Street in Basseterre that left twenty-two (22)-year-old Jalen Archibald with a gunshot wound to the face. The incident occurred on July 30th, 2023, some time after midnight.
Preliminary inquiries indicate that while standing outside of his vehicle on Burdon Street, Mr. Archibald was approached by an individual dressed in black. He reported hearing a sharp, cracking sound and feeling something hit his face. He drove home, then sought medical attention at the Joseph N. France General Hospital where he was treated and soon after, discharged in stable condition.
The Crime Scene Unit of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force processed Mr. Archibald accordingly and an investigation into the matter is ongoing. Anyone with information that can lead to the timely resolution of this matter is asked to contact the nearest Police station as soon as possible.
