Peter “Peetah” Morgan, the lead singer of the iconic reggae band Morgan Heritage has died.
A statement confirming the death said, “With deep love in our hearts, the @morganheritage family is saddened to share that our cherished husband, father, son, brother, and the renowned lead singer of Morgan Heritage, Peter Morgan, passed on today, February 25th, 2024.
““Our family thanks you in advance for your overwhelming love and support, and we ask your continued prayers as we go through this process. We also ask that you please respect our privacy during this time of healing,” the group councluded.
Peetah was famous for his distinct vocals on tracks such as Tell Me How Come, Down by the River, She’s Still Loving Me and Don’t Haffi Dread.
