DOUGLAS’ LAWYER EXPOSES HIM AS A FOREIGN AGENT OF THE DOMINICAN GOVERNMENT DESPITE BEING A MEMBER OF THE LEGISLATIVE BRANCH IN ST. KITTS-NEVIS.
Senior counsel Anthony Astaphan, who is representing the Hon Denzil Douglas in a lawsuit filed against Dr Douglas by the Team Unity Government, has opened a can of worms. Dr Douglas has consistently but questionably said in the past that he has no allegiance to any other country but his birthing land St Kitts.
However in an interview conducted by Mr. Clive Bacchus on WinnFm Mr. Astaphan acknowledged that his client the Hon Denzil Douglas is indeed the holder of a Dominican diplomatic passport.
He further revealed and buckled under pressure, what can be considered as damning information during an interrogatory session where a prying Bacchus knocked over his rear guards and forced him to divulge pertinent information. “At the appropriate time Dr. Douglas will give an explanation as to why the nationality of Dominica showed up and not St Kitts-Nevis and there is a clear answer to it”.
What else is there to be explained why Dr Douglas’ nationality is listed as Dominican? A person can only become a national by virtue of being born in a particular country. Similarly, Dr Douglas could have only become a Dominican national by virtue of him being born in the country of Dominica. However, the fact that Dr Douglas’ passport has his nationality listed as Dominican can be considered as a blatant fraudulent insertion. Nowhere else in the world has a member of a government legislative body also acts as a FOREIGN AGENT for ANOTHER COUNTRY WITHOUT BEING ARRESTED AND TRIED FOR TREASON!
Nevertheless, Dr Douglas, who has previously avoided acknowledging that he was in possession of a Dominican diplomatic passport, now faces another challenge as it relates to calls made on social media indicating that he, Dr. Douglas, is the cause that the authenticity of the Dominican passport is being called into question.
Both the Dominican Government and Dr. Douglas have been accused of lying on an official government document, namely the Dominican Passport, which has implied that Dr. Douglas’ was born in St Kitts.
According to Miss Mar Williams, a popular blogger on social media, Dr. Douglas’ actions have now brought the credibility of the Dominican passport into disrepute. She pointed out that “Both Dr Douglas and the government of Dominica have lied on an official Dominican Government document (the Dominican passport) that is recognized internationally to be a truthful representation of the information contained within, in which it implied that Dr Douglas was born in Dominica albeit without any evidentiary proof of his birth.”
One of the salient points which is overlooked here is the fact that Dr Douglas is also a member of the legislative branch of the government in St Kitts. By being a part of this branch of government, where laws are made, Dr Douglas therefore assists in formulation of national policies in the sole interest of St Kitts-Nevis. He should therefore offer his elected-to-perform services to his country alone. Furthermore, by virtue of Dr Douglas being a strategic partner of the government of Dominica, according to Mr. Astaphan, which is a competitor in the SIDF program, Dr Douglas may therefore not be willing to undertake or support any legislation which may affect Dominica negatively and this conflict of interest is the fulcrum on which the makers of the allegiance laws are predicated.
The fact that Dr Douglas is now employed BY THE GOVERNMENT OF St Kitts-Nevis and is allegedly also on the Dominican Government pay role, is an indication that Dr Douglas has split loyalties to his country and to the role in which he was elected to perform by the people of St Kitts.
Shouldn’t this dastardly reprehensible act be treated as treasonous?
