šŸ”The future of the poultry industry looks promising as we welcomed 640 layer chicks at the RLB International Airport as part of the Layer Chicken Industry Sustainable Development Projectā€”a joint venture between the Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (Taiwan ICDF) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine Resources. šŸ”šŸ„š

The project is expected to provide farmers with a steady supply of over twenty-thousand-day-old chicks per year for both meat and egg production and forms part of the governmentā€™s ā€œ25 by 25 Agendaā€ which seeks to reduce food imports by 25% by the year 2025. šŸ„

The chicks will be housed and nurtured at the recently commissioned, Bayfordā€™s Layer Chicken Breeder Farm and Hatchery facility. šŸ„
