(ECDU) under the guiding theme for the 2024 celebration of Child’s Month Embrace Inclusion:
Every Child Counts, on Monday, June 10 commissioned four sensory rooms at respective
daycare centers in a commencement ceremony held at the St. Paul’s Daycare Center.

Development Unit (ECDU) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education participated in a
ribbon-cutting ceremony at four daycare centers, marking the opening of multi-sensory rooms to
support the developmental needs of students on the autism spectrum disorder (ADS).

Update on the Suspension of CXC® Syllabuses
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – Arising from a meeting today with Ministers of Education from
across the region, the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC®) will continue to offer syllabuses
for Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination® (CAPE®) Green Engineering, CAPE®
Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology, Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate®
(CSEC®) Agricultural Science (Double Award) and CSEC® Industrial Technology – the
Mechanical Engineering option, in keeping with its menu of new generation technology and
science syllabuses.
