RSS JUNIOR LEADERS LEVEL 3 CVQ COURSE SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDES


The Regional Security System (RSS) Junior Leaders Level 3 CVQ (Caribbean Vocational Qualification) Course 1/2024 successfully concluded on September 13th, 2024. The course, which commenced on August 5th, 2024, was hosted by St. Kitts. The first of its kind, the pivotal training initiative brought together a diverse group of twenty (20) participants from various member states, including St. Kitts and Nevis, Antigua, Barbados, St. Lucia, Grenada, and Guyana, with the aim of fostering regional cooperation
and professional development in security leadership. Among the attendees were four (4) soldiers from the St. Kitts – Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF) and three (3) Police officers from the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF).

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 18, 2024 (SKNIS): Seven members of the security forces in St. Kitts and Nevis – three from the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force and four from the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF) – successfully completed the six-week Junior Leaders Level 3 CVQ Course designed by the Regional Security System (RSS) Training Institute.

The Police are investigating a shooting homicide that occurred in Hamilton, Nevis, on September 11th, 2024, between the hours 4PM and 5PM. The incident resulted in the death of Lawvinton Forbes of Hamilton, age thirty-one (31).

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, September 11, 2024 (SKNIS): Government of St. Kitts and Nevis is pleased to announce that nationals of the Federation will maintain their visa-free access to the United Kingdom (UK) through the upcoming rollout of the UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) scheme. The ETA, which applies to short-term stays for tourism, study, or business, will be a requirement starting in 2025.
