RAPHAEL WALLACE CHARGED FOR MURDER AND ATTEMPTED MURDER

The Police have charged Raphael Wallace of Hamilton, Nevis, aged thirty-two (32), has been formally charged on two warrants in the first instance for Murder and Attempted Murder. These charges stem from incidents that occurred on May 24th, 2024, at Poinciana Drive, Hamilton, that caused the death of the late Joelle Huggins of Hamilton, and left her brother Julian Huggins, seriously wounded. Mr Wallace was charged on June 1st, 2024, at the Cotton Ground Police Station.

TWO SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY IN CONNECTION WITH NEVIS HOMICIDE

As the investigation progresses into the recent homicide and attempted murder that
occurred in Hamilton, Nevis, on May 24th, 2024, officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) have executed several search warrants. This proactive measure has resulted in the apprehension of two (2) individuals under suspicion of murder. These suspects are currently assisting with the ongoing investigation.

ILLEGAL FIREARM & AMMO RECOVERED AT EAST PARK RANGE

On May 30th, 2024, between 11AM and 12PM, law enforcement officers recovered one(1) firearm in the area of East Park Range, St. Kitts. Police officers from the Violent CrimeUnit (VCU) of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) collaborated with personnel from His Majesty’s Customs and Excise K9 Unit to conduct a search of anabandoned wooden structure in that area.

ALEXANDER SAMUEL CHARGED WITH MURDER, GUN & AMMO POSSESSION

The Police have laid three (3) charges against Alexander Samuel of Conaree Village, St. Kitts. Mr Samuel has been charged on one (1) warrant in the First Instance for the Murder of twenty-nine(29)-year-old Shacquille Chumney of East Street, Newtown, St. Kitts, that was committed on April 15
the , 2024, at the Newtown Fisheries Complex. Additionally, he has been charged with two warrants in the First Instance for the possession of a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition, both offences taking place on May 28 th, 2024, between 4PM and 6PM.
