Twelve (12) deceased individuals were found at Sea Today by The SKNDF Coast Guard

UPDATE: the number of deceased persons now stands at nineteen (19).

The SKNDF Coast Guard responded Today to a report around 11:00am ,of a boat seen drifting off the coast of Nevis. Upon reaching the vessel, Twelve (12) deceased individuals were found.
Their identities are presently unknown. The vessel has been towed back to St. Kitts for further investigation.

CHELSTON HANLEY SENTENCED FOR LARCENY

Chelston Hanley of Newtown, St Kitts, has been sentenced to serve two (2) years in His Majesty’s Prison for the offence of Larceny, committed on February 1st, 2024. Mr Hanley pleaded guilty to the charge on January 20th, 2025, and was sentenced on January 27th, 2025. Per sentencing guidelines, the time spent on remand – six (6) months – was deducted from his sentence. Mr Hanley’s sentencing was handed down by Her Honour Rhonda Nisbett-Browne at the Magistrate’s Court in Basseterre, St. Kitts.

STANFORD WILLIAMS SENTENCED FOR ROBBERY

Stanford Williams of Sandy Point, St. Kitts, has been sentenced to serve eleven (11) years in His Majesty’s Prison for the offence of Robbery. The criminal act was committed on March 5 th, 2022, at Boozie’s Restaurant on Princes Street, Basseterre.
