Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 12, 2018 (RSCNPF): Jonathan Chiverton of Newcastle has been arrested and charged for the offence of Unlawfully and Maliciously Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm. He was charged on August 10, 2018.

MISINFORMATION
Over the past few days there were several reports circulating via social and other media platforms regarding
missing exhibits that were in Police custody.
I can confirm that small quantities of cannabis, which are exhibits in matters before the Magistrate’s Court,
have recently gone missing from Police custody. At the time of its disappearance, the drugs were placed at a
location outside of the secured exhibit room.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 11, 2018 (RSCNPF): One (1) 9mm Semi-Automatic Pistol and a magazine containing seven (7) rounds of matching ammunition were found in a house in Church Ground, Nevis on August 09, 2018.

FUGITIVE BACK IN POLICE CUSTODY

 

Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 10, 2018 (RSCNPF): Twenty-two-year-old Lashon Hendrickson is back in Police custody.

A Wanted Poster was issued by the Police for Hendrickson after he escaped Police custody on August 03, 2018. He had been charged for the offences of Housebreaking and Larceny on August 02. 

Thursday evening, Hendrickson arrived at the Basseterre Police station accompanied by a lawyer. He has since received an additional charge for the offence of Escaping Lawful Custodyl. 

The Police would like to thank all the persons who assisted with this matter by either sharing the poster or sharing information with the Police. Together we achieve more.

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, August 9, 2018 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – The recent investments made by the Team Unity Government of St. Kitts and Nevis to enhance the technological capabilities of law enforcement agencies in the country are yielding the desired result—a reduction in the commission of crimes in the Federation.

This investment in the technological advancements of the security forces, particularly the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF), was propelled in 2016 when the Government, with assistance from the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan), undertook phase 1 of the multimillion-dollar Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Project.
