$50K Bail For Possession Of Guns, Coke Charge

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Inon Nias of Greenlands, who was charged with gun and drug possession for two illegal guns and a large quantity of cocaine found at his residence, has been $50,000 granted bail at the Magistrate court.

Defense Force personnel stopped Nias on the Southeast peninsula last Saturday, and a search of his vehicle turned up 29 dime bags of cocaine.

ARREST AND BAIL:
Arrested: Sherlon Cannonier of East Neverson Street, Newtown was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for Malicious Damage and Simple Wounding.
Arrested: Curtis Isaac of Craddock Road was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Larceny.
Arrested: Kenvin Claxton of Church Ground was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Possession of Cocaine and Possession of cocaine with intent to supply.
Arrested: Dilon Sage of Cherry Garden Housing Project was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving without Insurance and Driving without a valid driver’s license.
Arrested/Bailed: Peter Dajiuiar of Cotton Ground was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Larceny. He was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00 for his appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on Tuesday 15th August 2017 at 9 o’clock.

Nias Charged For Guns and Coke

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Police have now brought charges against the Greenlands resident arrested for guns and drugs on the weekend (Aug 5).

Inon Alexis Nias was arrested on Saturday after Defence Force personnel stopped his vehicle on the Southeast peninsula and a search turned up 29 dime bags with cocaine.

Nevisian Elmos Wilkes, beaten, robbed and tied up on the road in Nevis

CHARESTOWN, NEVIS, AUGUST 9TH 2017 – Nevisian Elmos Wilkes, who returned to Nevis for a funeral and who decided to stay on for Culturama is in serious condition at the Alexandra Hospital in Charlestown after being beaten and robbed.
According to a family member, who resides in New York, Wilkes, who lives in St. Croix with his family and will not be named, is suspected to have been beaten and robbed between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
β€œHe was found tied up on the road. He is in a mess in hospital. His face is swollen and he has lost his teeth,” said the family member Wednesday evening.
Police in Nevis have confirmed the incident.
