TWO CHARGED FOR GUN & DRUG POSSESSION ON NEVIS


The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) continues to make steady, positive strides in the public’s interest and the maintenance of safety and security in the Federation. On October 4th, 2024, a combined total of six (6) charges were laid against Shavere Hanley of Hamilton, and Kylah Wallace of Bath Village, both of Nevis. The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant on October 2nd, 2024, at Mr Hanley’s residence. The search was jointly conducted by the RSCNPF and the St. Kitts – Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF).


The search led to the recovery of one (1) Glock 40 firearm accompanied by a magazine containing fourteen (14) rounds of 10mm ammunition, and a quantity of a white substance that was shortly thereafter confirmed to be cocaine. Mr Hanley, Ms Wallace, and two other persons were taken into custody.

NEWCASTLE HOMICIDE UNDER POLICE INVESTIGATION


The Police are investigating a shooting homicide that occurred on October 6th, 2024, in the Nisbett Settlement area of Newcastle, Nevis. The criminal act was commited between 10:30PM and 11PM.
Responding to the scene, officers observed Dinzey Llewellyn Ryan of the aforementioned area laying motionless on the ground with apparent gunshot wounds about the body. Initial inquiries suggest that Mr Ryan was shot multiple times by an armed assailant shortly after exiting his vehicle near his home. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Security Forces United Football Club (SFUFC), in collaboration with the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force’s National Intervention Team (NIT), is proud to announce the launch of a transformative grassroots football initiative in St. Kitts and Nevis, titled “Discovering Talent, Igniting Dreams, Building Futures.” The main launch event took place on October 5th, 2024, at the NCI Grounds in Needsmust, St. Kitts. Additionally, a separate launch was held this past Wednesday to accommodate children attending the Seventh Day Adventist Primary School, ensuring that all interested youth can participate.

ROBBERY AT FAIR VIEW INN UNDER POLICE INVESTIGATION
The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) responded to a report of a robbery at the Fair View Inn in Boyd’s, St. Kitts, between 1PM and 1:30PM on October 3rd, 2024. Initial inquiries indicated that a small number of employees were approached during a work break, and accosted by an armed assailant who demanded money. The assailant robbed one of the employees and others fled to safety.
