BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, June 04, 2019 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – Officers of the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services are being challenged to do the best possible job they can using the services and equipment currently at their disposal.

This challenge to the fire officers was presented by Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris, when he facilitated an interactive meeting with the rank and file of the fire services earlier today (Tuesday, June 04).

CHRISTOPHER TRUE TO STAND TRIAL FOR OFFENCE COMMITTED

 

Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 04, 2019 (RSCNPF): Christopher True of Frigate Bay who was charged for the offence of Causing the Death of Another Person was committed to stand trial in September after his appearance at the Magistrate Court on May 23, 2019.

The incident took place on November 18, 2017 and resulted in the death of Pastor Mark Hodge.

It has been brought to the attention of the High Command that the information regarding the investigation into the death of 20-year-old Tau Johnson was not made available to the public. Johnson was involved in a fatal accident on July 07, 2018 along Wellington Road.

POLICE INVESTIGATING SEXUAL ASSAULT AND ARMED ROBBERY INCIDENT

Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 04, 2019 (RSCNPF):  The police are requesting the assistance of the public in apprehending suspects involved in a sexual assault and armed robbery incident that occurred on June 04.

Investigations so far have revealed that on Tuesday morning at about 3:00 a.m., three armed persons entered the home of the victim, took her personal items and sexually assaulted her. The assailants then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.  Persons with information regarding this incident are urged to contact the Sandy Point Police Station at 465-6261, the nearest Police Station or by calling the crime hotline at 707.
