SIR TAPLEY COMMENDS ST. KITTS AND NEVIS’ 25 MOST REMARKABLE TEENS FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS TO NATION BUILDING
Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 16, 2018 (SKNIS): Twenty-five (25) outstanding teens in the Federation were highly commended by His Excellency Sir S.W. Tapley Seaton, Governor General of St. Kitts and Nevis, for their outstanding contributions to nation building.

The statement was read during the 25 Most Remarkable Teens (MRTs) Awards at a special sitting of Parliament on Thursday, November 15 by the Honourable Michael Perkins, Speaker of the Federal Parliament, on behalf of the Governor General, who commended the teens on their achievement.

“Our Remarkable Teens, tonight, have joined the pantheon of young change-makers and activists who have captured the world’s attention and influenced us with the immense scope of human, scientific and social accomplishments,” he added, while delivering remarks during the eighth annual 25 Most Remarkable Teens (MRTs) Awards Ceremony at a special sitting of Parliament on Thursday, November 15. “You were chosen tonight, not because of your greatness, but because of the simple things you do that make those around you great.”

ST. KITTS SHINES AS A CRUISE DESTINATION IN 2018 BREA REPORT
Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 19, 2018 (SKNIS): According to the 2018 BREA Report –the economic impact study for the region, which is done every three years– St. Kitts continues to shine as a top ranking cruise destination.

St. Kitts excels in relation to the “How satisfied were you with your purchased tour?” question, placing #2 behind Cozumel in Mexico out of the 36 destinations studied.  Concerning purchased tours in St. Kitts, 75 percent of respondents said they were extremely satisfied and 16 percent said they were very satisfied.

Church has been playing a special role in the country’s development, says PM Harris

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, November 19, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — Member of Parliament for St. Christopher Seven since November 29, 1993 and Prime Minister of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, is commending the church for the special role it has been playing in the development of the country.

“The church has been playing a special role in the country’s development,” said Dr Harris. “The framers of the Constitution were mindful to include that St. Kitts and Nevis is a Nation under God, to acknowledge His supremacy and to acknowledge that the country could only move forward in Godliness.”
