MONTH OF OLDER PERSONS TO BE FEATURED ON WORKING FOR YOU ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 03
Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 02, 2018 (SKNIS) — The activities for the Month of Older Persons will be the topic of discussion on the weekly radio and television programme “Working for You” on Wednesday, October 03, 2018. October is the month when older persons are celebrated in St. Kitts and Nevis.

The panelists will be Acting Director in the Department of Social and Community Development, Ann Wigley; Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Community Development, Gender Affairs and Social Services, Janelle Lewis; Home Care Officer, Andrea Caines; and Senior Social Assistance Officer, Laverne Richard.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 02, 2018 (SKNIS): In commemoration of the Independence 35 Civil Service Community Day that was held on September 27, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with a number of diplomatic officials from embassies in the capital set out to beautify the community by planting Allamanda and Oleander plants at various locations and to symbolize the growth of bilateral relations.

Tuesday 2nd October, 2018 – (St. Kitts)The RotaryCommunity Corp of Basseterre (RCCB), launched its inaugural Back to School drive on August 19, 2018. This initiative gave the communitydriven group an opportunity to give back by providing school supplies to the nation’s youth who may otherwise not have all the necessary supplies for the 2018-2019 school year.

The Honourable Prime Minister’s monthly press conference will be held Thursday, October 4th, 2018 from 10:00am in the Parliamentary Lounge at Government Headquarters.

Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris is pleased to once more update citizens and residents of St. Kitts and Nevis on matters of national interest.

The Honourable Prime Minister’s monthly press conference will be held Thursday, October 4th, 2018 from 10:00am in the Parliamentary Lounge at Government Headquarters.

The press conference will be broadcast live on national media and attended by the press corps who will ask questions for the benefit of the listening and viewing public.
