Women’s group urges victims to come forward

Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 7, 2018 – A group calling itself the Concerned Women of St. Kitts and Nevis has called on persons who have been the victims of sexual assault in the Chambers of the Attorney General to come forward with evidence.
Although Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris called the allegations of sexual assault in the Attorney General’s Chambers as “wild and outrageous” he called on Attorney General, the Hon. Vincent Byron Jr. to defend himself.

SAFE students at CFBC still waiting for government to reimburse registration fees

Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 7, 2018 – Students who receive assistance under the SAFE programme at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) are still waiting on the government to reimburse them.
The bursar at the CFBC told students on the programme to pay their registration fees until the government finds the money to place in their CFBC accounts and they will be reimbursed later.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 7, 2018 – Another twist in the cause of death of 23-year-old Shaquille Pemberton as further tests show inconsistencies .

In a January 27 statement, hours after the youth’s body was discovered in bushes near the Control Tower at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force said “it appears to have injuries to the chest.”
