Ross Medical students leave St. Kitts, start classes in Knoxville

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 18, 2018 – Over 1,000 medical students who relocated to St. Kitts after their Ross University Medical School campus in Dominica was destroyed by Hurricane Irma have left the Federation and have temporarily relocated to Knoxville, Tennessee in the United States to continue their education.
The ship, which the students resumed classes has also left St. Kitts.

Dr. Drew slams Amory, Collins for allowing employees to return to high carbon dioxide Labour Department

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 17, 2018 – Medical internist, Dr. Terrance Drew slammed Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Labour, Mr. Ron Collins and Minister of Labour, Vance Amory for demanding employees of the Department of Labour, some of whom have been on sick leave for months, to return to work thus ignoring a report from the Standards of Bureau, which deemed the environment they are working in unsatisfactory.
Dr. Drew said the Bureau of Standards conducted a series of tests in the building which was recently renovated with the cost running into millions of dollars.

19-year-old Cleon Browne is murder victim #1

Gingerland, Nevis, January 17, 2018 – A 19-year-old youth in Nevis became the Federation’s first murder victim on Wednesday.

Cleon Browne was gunned down in a hail of bullets as he walked along the road in Rawlins Village, Gingerland, Nevis close to midday.
